Core Training Strands
AI Literacy for Educators
- Understanding how LLMs, recommendation systems, and educational analytics work under the hood.
- Evaluating AI tools through lenses of bias, fairness, accessibility, and pedagogical appropriateness.
- Hands-on workshops with existing tools to identify opportunities and limitations in classroom contexts.
Critical Prompting & Epistemic Awareness
- Teaching educators and learners to question sources, assumptions, and blind spots of AI-generated answers.
- Crafting prompts that center local knowledge, languages, and contexts rather than generic responses.
- Developing rubrics for evaluating AI outputs for cultural appropriateness and epistemic alignment.
Designing AI-Aware Assessments
- Redesigning assignments, projects, and exams for a world where AI is ubiquitous and accessible.
- Building rubrics that reward interpretation, synthesis, critique, and creativity rather than mere reproduction.
- Exploring open-book, AI-collaborative assessment models that maintain academic rigor.
Co-Creating Local AI Tools
- Practical labs where participants build simple RAG systems, curriculum graphs, and analytics dashboards using open-source tools.
- Emphasis on data governance, documentation, and community benefit-sharing from the ground up.
- Introduction to prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and evaluation for local language contexts.
Policy & Governance Clinics
- Workshops for institutional leaders on developing AI strategies for universities and school systems.
- Drafting guidelines on data sharing, AI procurement, and platform partnerships that protect institutional autonomy.
- Understanding data protection laws, intellectual property frameworks, and emerging AI regulations.
Training Formats
Intensive Workshops
2-5 day in-person or virtual intensive sessions for deep dives into specific topics with hands-on practice and expert facilitation.
Online Courses
Self-paced modules with facilitated discussions, peer feedback, and project-based assessments over 4-8 weeks.
Faculty Development Programs
Semester-long engagement with university faculties to integrate AI literacy and critical pedagogy across curricula.
Our Pedagogical Stance
Our pedagogical stance is fully project-based and speculative: participants are encouraged not only to use existing tools, but to prototype alternative futures for their institutions—then evaluate these futures for feasibility, justice, and long-term impact. We treat every training as a co-learning opportunity where educators' expertise shapes the tools, not the other way around.
